So many of us have been waiting on tenterhooks for March 2023 – and the Nike Dunk Low Fuchsia has finally dropped! Another mind-blowing sneaker, a seriously cool pair, is here – and now you can get your hands on it too (click here)!
What's more, this one's a seriously girly pair! So yes, this post is aimed squarely at the girls! 👱♀️
But lads, if you're reading this, don't run off just yet: think how easily you'll sweep someone off their feet if you can drop a few fun facts about their sneakers! 😉
the colour
Do you actually know what fuchsia is? 🌸
The funny thing is, since it's a flowering ornamental plant, your nan or your mum might well know what it is better than you do! Only, being Hungarian, she'd probably spell it like this: fukszia.
But what's that got to do with anything? How does a flower that pops up on pensioners' windowsills next to the geraniums cross paths with sneakers? 🤔
The answer lies in the colour of the fukszia – fuchsia: the Nike Dunk Low Fuchsia brings pure white and active fuchsia together in perfect harmony (just like the name says).

This colour combo is absolutely killing it right now. Quick fun fact: Pantone, which has been naming a colour of the year for more than 20 years, picked a shade of pink – Viva Magenta – as this year's colour. Bottom line: 2023 is 100% going to be all about this palette.
And the Nike Dunk Low Fuchsia slots right into this trend – in seriously cool style. The Nike logo, the laces and the lining, among other details, have all gone pink, and they work with the white leather upper so perfectly that words can't really do it justice – this pair speaks for itself! 😻
the idea
Nike has always loved reworking – and still loves reworking – its Dunk Low sneakers. Whether that's what's happening this time, though, is up for debate. 🧐
Plenty of people reckon that, fuchsia or not, because this pair (like others before it) is born from just two colours coming together (perfectly, we'd add), the brand has actually gone back to basics. And it's true: this isn't the first time we've seen a two-tone colourway on a Dunk – the design feels much more like an old friend.

Others, though, see it not as a step back but as a kind of renaissance. In recent years we've seen loads of colourways built from more than two colours, plus all sorts of different textile constructions. So by putting the old-school design back in the spotlight (with new colours, of course), we're actually moving forward again.
Sure, you could argue about it all day, but as long as we keep getting bangers like this, who honestly cares where the idea came from… 😜
the girls
What's beyond debate, though, is that Nike hasn't dropped such a sexy, girly pair in ages.

Sure, they've never been stingy with lighter colours (just think of the Nike Dunk Low ‘Pink Velvet’)... but this one still looks absolutely insane! We can hardly imagine a better first impression of a girl than spotting a pair of Nike Dunk Low Fuchsia sneakers on her feet. 👀
Cool colour, spring vibes, hot style – it's got the lot! 🤩
